klx.ink is designed to collect as little data as possible. Here's what we do collect:

1.1 Automatically Collected Data

  • Server logs: IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamp. Retained for up to 48 hours for operational purposes and abuse prevention.
  • View counting: We record a one-way hash of your IP address and browser identifier to count unique video views. The hash cannot be reversed to identify you. This data is retained for 48 hours.

1.2 Data We Do NOT Collect

  • No cookies (except a session cookie for admin login)
  • No analytics or tracking scripts
  • No advertising identifiers
  • No location data
  • No device fingerprinting

2. How We Use Information

Server logs are used exclusively for:

  • Monitoring service health and performance
  • Preventing abuse and denial-of-service attacks
  • Counting video views (anonymized via one-way hash)

We do not sell, share, or use your data for marketing, profiling, or any commercial purpose.

3. Third-Party Services

Videos on klx.ink are hosted on third-party CDNs. When you play a video, your browser connects directly to the CDN. We do not control what data the CDN may collect. Common CDN providers may log IP addresses and request data per their own privacy policies.

Our video player (Plyr) and fonts (Google Fonts) are loaded from third-party CDNs. These services may log your IP address and browser information as part of standard HTTP requests.

4. Data Retention

  • Server logs: 48 hours
  • View log entries: 48 hours
  • Admin session cookie: Expires when you close your browser

5. Your Rights

Since we do not collect personal data (names, emails, accounts), there is no personal data to access, correct, or delete. If you have questions, contact us.

6. Children's Privacy

klx.ink does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child's data has been collected, contact us immediately.
